Selma Blair won’t be keeping anything from her wardrobe for the sitcom “Kath & Kim.”

“I don’t want to take any of this wardrobe home, ever—ever,” she said during a conference call Friday. “I’m not going to be like Sarah Jessica Parker in ‘Sex and the City’ and build an extra closet for my extra pieces; or get storage space. It’s not in my contract.”

In the Thursday night sitcom, Blair plays the none-too-stylish Kim Day, daughter of Molly Shannon’s Kath, who is also fashion-challenged.

“Right now I’m wearing the equivalent of a mullet for an outfit,” Blair said, speaking from the show’s set. “I’m wearing the shortest, red polyester shorts with a full-on, like, business-suit top.

“It’s business on top, party on the bottom. It’s ridiculous.”

Shannon, who squeezes into some very tight, inappropriate clothes for her role, said she’s having fun with the wardrobe.

“I like it; it’s fun,” she said. “It feels so lady-like and it’s very shapely and I like all the belts. Yeah, I like it.”

During the call, Blair commended Shannon for her positive answer, but did also seemed to enjoy dressing up—or down, I guess.

“It is like putting on a Halloween costume every day. It’s really over the top,” she said. “It’s really a fun character to get into, for sure.”
