112599_d_2400_pre ABC didn’t look far—again—for the new target of affection on the upcoming season of “The Bachelor.”

Last season the network brought back rejected “Bachelor” hopeful Deanna Pappas as “The Bachelorette.” Now the man Pappas rejected in May, Jason Mesnick, is the new “Bachelor.”

Mesnick, who proposed to Pappas on the finale, will get his pick from among 25 bachelorettes when the 13th season of the reality series returns in January. In a press release, ABC said Wednesday that Mesnick is looking for “a woman who has a real curiosity about the world, who loves life and can find passion in life’s smallest moments.”

Mesnick is the 32-year-old single father of three-year-old Ty. The account executive in estate and legacy planning lives in Seattle with Ty. By the way, Pappas picked professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak in May. They are now engaged.

ABC currently is looking for the 25 women who will vie for Mesnick’s affections. Interested women can learn more about casting events and the application process here.

    Jason Mesnick
    Age: 32
Marital status: Divorced two years ago
Thoughts on family: Jason would like to start another family
Occupation: account executive in estate and legacy planning
What Jason wants in a woman: Jason is looking for a woman who has a real curiosity about the world, who loves life and can find passion in life’s smallest moments.
Likes: A variety of sports, including swimming, golf, basketball and football. He used to be a golf professional at a club. He has traveled all over Europe and continues to pursue his desire to see the world. In his spare time, he takes guitar and swing dance lessons. Perhaps not surprisingly, Jason is a “big brother” for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America. A philanthropist himself, he hopes to some day form and run his own children’s charity.
