Could Sir Guy of Gisborne kick Andy Botwin's butt? In the battle of sitcom moms, is Joy Turner in the same league as Rochelle Rock? Who's the better baddie, Number Six or Det. Shane Vendrell? Has bisexual Capt. Jack Harkness met his match in dirty old man Herbert?

That's right, it's time for you to vote for your favorite TV characters.

We've narrowed a huge group of hopefuls down to 32 players for our 2nd annual Best TV Character Tournament. Now you get to vote through several rounds and eventually for the winner.

Last year's champ, Kara "Starbuck" Thrace of "Battlestar Galactica," is not eligible this year. But we're sure Starbuck, or at least Katee Sackhoff, understands.

The tourney starts now, so take a look and vote. Tell all your friends too. You have until 2 p.m. Friday to vote in the first round.

I think Melissa Peterman playing the
character of Barbara Jean on the show "REBA"
is as memorable as they get. Not only
was she hilarious, she stole every scene
and made us love a character that
we should have disliked : the "other woman"
    who breaks up a marriage.
She was a pure joy to watch.

Curt's reply: Thanks Jan. We're doing current characters, but if we do all-timers, we'll consider Barbara Jean.
