**UPDATE 9 p.m.: I did not get to satisfy my baked potato craving today, however, I did enjoy a very hearty tomato basil soup earlier.**
Oh yes. I can find a way to marry an iPhone and a potato in a post. It also helps that I've been craving a baked potato all day!
Well, I didn't, but a company called PaperFoam apparently has.
According to Italian site setteB.IT, a blog in the Netherlands called Bright reports that PaperFoam, which is a packaging company that prides itself on being green, will be supplying packing materials for the new iPhone 3G.
According to PaperFoam's site, the company uses an injection technology with starch and water (potato!) to custom fit the material.
As we all know, Apple hasn't always been lauded for it being Green -- Greenpeace has blasted Apple in the past for it's eco-friendly policies.
You can read the translated page here. And you can find more information about PaperFoam here.
Of course, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
And, for more green news that's friendly and eco-friendly all at the same time, you should check out my colleague Supriya Doshi's blog "Practically Green." It's here
Thanks for calling.
