I'm sorry about the timing and all, callers, but today will be my last posting day for a little while. I'm going on vacation.

iWife and I have had this planned for a long time now. Back then, I had no idea Steve Jobs would be introducing the 3G iPhone right after I get back.

That's the good news. I'm back the night of Sunday, June 8. So I'll be right here in Chicago to liveblog the big introduction/announcement from WWDC. Actually, I'm looking forward to being local ... especially if it's another situation where lines form around the Apple Store here on Michigan Avenue and I could potentially meet some of you based here.

So ... here's what I recommend while I'm gone:

First, don't worry about WWDC. It will be worth the wait, it seems.

Second, don't believe every rumor you read. I do my best to weed out the good from the bad.

Third, the rumors leading up to the launch are going to get fast and furious. See No. 2 ... don't believe them all.

Fourth, check back here and leave comments here. I have an iPhone, so I can at least approve a comment when I can't reply. The comments here will give you fodder for discussion. The discussion can always go on, even when I'm not here to moderate it.

Fifth, e-mail me if you see something or need to know something. I have no idea if I'll be able to get back to you, but you have nothing to lose by sending it, right?

And most of all, enjoy your iPhone and enjoy the fact that something potentially huge is waiting in the wings.

Thanks for always being loyal to the blog and to the iPhone community. We're already in 46 countries. I can't wait to see what happens to that number when the next model is announced!!

Sorry if I'm repeating this but thought with all sex and the city (SATC) hype....did anyone else notice the iPhone sighting? During a crucial point Carrie begs for someones cell and samantha hands her an iPhone. She grabs it but one look at the famous face of icons on phone and shouts "I don't know how to use this" Great, I loved it! The audience laughed.
