YAY! YAY! YAY! Can you tell I am excited? This will make our already awesome iPhones even better. And Scott..... your tweets rock.
SCOTT'S REPLY: Thanks, Jeanine. I know! I'm excited too. This is big ... big!! And with the patent, Jeanine, we can get an idea of how it will work.
So not too many tweets? I'm trying not to be too in people's faces, you know?
Posted by: Jeanine | Feb 19, 2008 10:51:26 PMIt's about time for this function. I love iPhone but have to keep a pen handy to transfer information. Thanks for keeping us informed.
SCOTT'S REPLY: I hear ya, Chris. And no problem. I'm happy to do it.
Posted by: chris | Feb 19, 2008 10:59:22 PMAny guess at a timetable-good news whenever!
SCOTT'S REPLY: Hard to say, Brad, but if they do it in conjunction with the SDK, well, that would be fantastic.
Posted by: Brad | Feb 19, 2008 11:21:46 PMYou can patent a gesture?
SCOTT'S REPLY: In this world, Ross, you can patent anything. See that SCOTT'S REPLY before my response? Patented. Anyone else named Scott is out.
Posted by: Ross X | Feb 19, 2008 11:46:19 PMI'm reserving my woohoos for a bit. It would be nice if this did translate to iPhone functionality but don't forget the the MacBook Air has the multitouch pad, too. It's also rumored that the next gen MB and MB Pro will have this feature.
SCOTT'S REPLY: True, but the patent specifically addresses multi-touch devices, which is both MB Air and iPhone -- and iPod Touch, for that matter. So even if it comes to the MB Air before the other devices, it's a genuine start.
So quiet and reserved woo-hoos from Marci. I'm down with that.

I am trying not to get too excited but.......... YAHOOOOOOO!!!
come on SDK!!!!
N
SCOTT'S REPLY: Wow, Neil! If that's not excited then I can't wait to see what is -- LOL. I hear you. I definitely hear you.
Posted by: Neil | Feb 20, 2008 6:27:57 AMYou lost me. Can we officialy copy/paste or is it a theory for SDK?
SCOTT'S REPLY: Neither -- can't do it yet and Apple filed a patent for it which means it's being worked on for sure.
Posted by: Christopher | Feb 20, 2008 8:08:02 AMNot too many tweets at all - I love getting them on my iPhone or through Twitterific - and then I can check the blog when I have a few minutes. Hey, and I got my hubby to sign up for the Twitter army :).
SCOTT'S REPLY: That's awesome, Jeanine ... and if your husband is one of the people that Twitter says "there's something wrong ... refresh the page to add this person" and when you do nothing happens, please tell him that I will be following him soon and am working with Twitter to try to get some help. Unfortunately, Twitter's customer service isn't that quick.
Posted by: Jeanine | Feb 20, 2008 8:45:12 AMYaaaayyyyy!!!!!!! and !!!
Now if my notes will sync to my Mac, almost all my iPhone dreams will have come true
SCOTT'S REPLY: Wow. I have so many more dreams :-D
Posted by: B K Ray | Feb 20, 2008 9:42:42 AMAfter perusing the patent submission, I believe Apple has just patented playing an electronic keyboard.
SCOTT'S REPLY: LOL. I was saying earlier to someone that you can patent anything these days! I wonder if they inadvertently patented a song?
