What's up my 95thers all the way on the southernmost tip of the Red Line? This news is for you. Today, the CTA announced a meeting for the extension of the Red Line, and act that -- if funded -- would take the tracks down to 134th Street. Good news for rider who have to deal with annoying feeder buses just to get to the Red Line each morning and evening. Below are more deets on the meet.

Refocusing our attention on trains as the superior method of mass transit is FINALLY a step in the right direction. It's reassuring to see talk about EXPANSION of the lines instead of cuts in maintenance.
Griping about the CTA has been a longtime cultural pastime in Chicago. I am certainly guilty of it. However, as jaded as we all might be, we have to step back and take a fresh look at the whole system. In the short time that Ron Huberman has taken over (what appeared to be a hopeless entity) many noticeable improvements have been made.

I wish I could make the meeting, though.
