How the heck do you evacuate a train?  Well, the CTA is telling us. Can you say P-S-A?  Check it out, yo!

Pictures speak louder than words. Thank you for this posted video it has been comforting to actually visualize the evacuation process instead just reading how awful it may have been for some in the past. You are providing a great service with this blog. I personally appreciate it. - lincoln square neighborhood rider- non-driver, 47 yr.old female.

The video is good. CTA like other companies spend 1000's on signs and light and similar. The problem isn't that there isn't ample signage, the problem is ppl. They don't even obey signs on the street. The sign in teh trans says, in an emergency remain seated an listen to instructs from operator. PPl who see teh sign take is as, if train has issues and you get tired of waiting simply pull the door open and step out onto live tracks bec you ain't my mama or y daddy and you cant tell me what to do. Well they didnt listen to maa and daddy either. Proof that signs do work is what happen in the Blue Line situation in the subway. Ppl all in the tunnels and no one was told to leave teh tran..suupose teh electricity would have cae on while they were out there. And simply bec CTA didnt handle it properly it would have made them liable. I hate to be an owner of a company where you can be liable for ppl being ignorant. We all know Chicago is full of them. I think CTA ia doing well for teh circustances they are delaing with.
