    Tracking Envy

    Posted July 21 at 1:28 p.m.

Okay, I know patience is a virtue, but is anyone else jealous of the riders that today got access to the next-bus tracking system?  Here are the routes live as of Monday:

    No. 7 Harrison, 8 Halsted, 10 Museum of Science & Industry, 12 Roosevelt, 17 Westchester, 18 16th/18th, 38 Ogden/Taylor, 52 Kedzie/California, 125 Water Tower Express, 126 Jackson, 129 West Loop/South Loop, 146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, 147 Outer Drive Express, 148 Clarendon/Michigan Express and 156 LaSalle

In my  'hood of Bronzeville, I can track the No.35-35th to get to the Red Line, but the molasses-running "L" isn't tracking, so that doesn't do me much good in terms of timing transit options.

Where, oh where, is the No.4-Cottage Grove and No.3-King Drive intel?  I know it's wrong, but I'm so tired of waiting.  Anyone else experiencing tracking envy? Like one of my fellow RedEye bloggers, I'm "practically green" over here, but it has nothing to do with the environment.

#49 Western! And #22 Clark! The latter never seems to show up one at a time. Whenever I do see a Clark bus, it's always with 1 or 2 others. After, of course, a 20-30 minute wait.

I think all of Bronzeville is waiting for the 3 to get on bus tracker.....i think i need to start a petition!
