Awwww yeah.... For those of us who have been suffering through shuttle service on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line, raise your "Going Public" glasses for a toast. Riders can kiss those blasted buses goodbye and return to the rails beginning this Thursday (July 24) at 3 a.m.
The work was completed ahead of schedule and slow zones are down to 11 percent, rather than the nearly 23 percent clocked last fall, so sayeth the CTA. Suh-weet! Love to spread the CTA sunshine...when it's there to spread.

Hi Kyra, regarding your column today Mystery No. 1. Wanted to let you know that Pace does not allow baby strollers on the bus. Moms have to fold the strollers up and carry the baby. Our CTA is too liberal with their baby stroller policy. As other riders have stated, the strollers (and some shopping carts) block the aisleway and people cannot get through. I have seen people almost fall from stepping over the stroller. I don't know what the problem is with taking the child/baby in your arms for the short distance?
