Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but you can find any CTA station by typing in some basic info into Google Maps.
For example, to find the Brown Line Paulina station shown above, I simply typed in (yep, you guessed it) Brown Line Paulina.
While on the surface it would only seem like a huge help for someone driving to a station, it can also tell you where you are in relation to that station or another one. Useful for those Friday night beer runs.
And if you happen to have an iPhone, well, then you have something cool that you can do with the built-in Google Maps feature.

It's cool that Google can do that. Unfortunately the results are spotty at best. Try Red Line North & Clybourn (or North and Clybourn or "North & Clybourn", etc.) You won't get it. A search for Blue Line Polk says that it's the Pink Line only which isn't the case (it still operates as a Blue Line as well as a Pink depending on the time of day).
Maybe they'll get the kinks worked out. And maybe someday we'll get Google Transit for the CTA. In the meantime...

My CTA + Google Map mashup over at http://www.tastypopsicle.com/maps/cta.asp is probably your best bet. Until Google and the CTA can play nice at least.

Zoom in on any GMap of Chicago to find bus and train stops, schedule, and route information. Trip planning is also on its way.
Hat tip to CTA for helping to facilitate this, although adhering to said schedules is a bigger challenge.
